The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at CHU Nîmes is a Type III maternity unit, offering comprehensive, high-level care for both routine and high-risk pregnancies. The unit serves as a regional center of excellence, combining clinical expertise, patient-centered care, and ongoing research in women’s health. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art delivery suitesand outpatient clinics. The department hosts a specialized perineal clinic offering advanced ultrasound facilities and a spectrum lof management modalities.

CHRU CaremeauRenaud de Tayrac is a Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology with over 25 years of experience, particularly in the field of Urogynecology. After completing specialist training in Paris in 1999, Professor Tayrac has focused his clinical and research career on the management of pelvic floor disorders. He has led the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at CHU Nimes for the past 15 years, overseeing a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the care of women with pelvic floor disorders. Proferssor de Tayrac’s clinical expertise includes trans-perineal ultrasound, pelvic floor evaluation (clinical, urodynamics, MRI), perineal and anal sphincter repair during childbirth, and surgical reconstruction for perineal trauma. He runs a weekly multidisciplinary team meeting and a dedicated postnatal perineal clinic. In addition to his clinical expertise, Professor De Tayrac has a strong background in both experimental and clinical research and the conduct of clinical studies in urogynecology and obstetrics.
